On Hub - a quick review

I recently had to replace a home-office router and after reading some provocative reviews (e.g. Google OnHub review—Google’s smart home Trojan horse is a $200 leap of faith about Google's On Hub, I decide to roll the dice and give it a shot.

Set-Up

As advertised, the setup process was a breeze. Download the app and less than 5 minutes later I had two networks up and running.

Performance

The router performs really well. So far, speed has been great.

The future...

As has been hinted elsewhere, this is an expensive home/small-office router. Given the number of IoT devices I already have, I'm looking forward to the features that are coming down the pipe.

Conclusion

If you can afford it and are beginning to have more and more things connected in your home or office, give the On Hub a try.
